In practical engineering applications, the Double-circular-arc Modified cycloid gear has been used in the fine grinding polishing machine, The service life of nearly three times higher than that of the traditional gear,Namely from50to60hours, up to150~180hours. The woring life nearly tripled, then the Enterprises of productivity have a substantial increase.In this paper, aiming at the double circular arc Modified cycloid gear encountered a series of problems in applications, To further studing of the gear meshing mechanism. The problems as shown below:(1) The profile of tooth curve equation of double circular arc Modified cycloid gear, is based on the ordinary hypocycloid and epicycloid gear tooth profile of the derivation method, that can’t reflect the Double-circular-arc Modified cycloid gear tooth profile;(2)In the actual production, the modeling process of this type of gear is complex, while the fitting-precision is low, Once the need for replacement of different types and number of teeth gear, they must be re-running test and new curve fitting process, The Lower productivity obtained;(3) There is no special cutting tool processing to manufatrre, only with plasma cutter cut the gear tooth one by one, Finally got a complete gear shape, With low accuracy and low efficiency.This article then set about from that the theory of the small module of the double circular arc Modified cycloid gear belongs to instrument, Through modifying design of this gear,we can get the needed Double-circular-arc Modified cycloid gear, According to the theory of gear geometry and generating method, By solution to the Planar parametric equation of cutter gear profile equation, give an accurate definition of this gear profile tooth equation, and then establish a precise modeling method; Based on fractal, the Finite-Element-Method (FEM)and traditional-Hertz-theory analysis contact stress of the gear system, then provided the gear contact stress analysis method based on fractal theory; The dynamics simulation with ADAMS software analysis, Correctness of this model is verified; Finally, By studying the method of gear machining, designed a kind of special processing hob, provided a kind of important method and tool to make the gear can be mass production processing.Through research and analysis of each part of this paper, we not just solve the problems in production practice, but also give a precise definition of this gear tooth profile equation and the derivation process and accurate modeling method, Provided a solution to the gear contact strength method based on fractal theory, the special processing hob, prompted it better used in high-speed, overloads gear transmission system in engineering practice.
