As one of the special economic zones in the west of our country, city Ruili of Yunnan province will usher in the development spurt in the future. The rapid economic development of the city will inevitably bring about rapid growth of the cultural industry, and at the same time it will result in increased people’s demand for the culture as well. What’s more, as one of the critical transportation fort connecting our country with Southeast Asia, Ruili is unavoidably under the cultural influence of Southeast Asia. Therefore Nongmo Lake Park Southeast Asia Country Pavilion Project has emerged in response to such conditions. As exhibition architecture, Southeast Asia Country Pavilion acts as one of the essential way in conveying city regional culture and modernized development. It is also an important approach and media. Selecting the design of exhibition architecture (Southeast Asia County Pavilion) as the research object and taking related Information and communication theories as the theoretical basis, this paper is intended to carry out analysis on the design process of exhibition architecture through the entry point which emphasizes on the interpersonal relationships behind, in order to find out a resolution of the project design.Chapter one of this paper is majorly about research background and significance as well as the definition of research object. With an overall introduction to research object and research tools, chapter two has discussed the mass media features of exhibition architecture. And chapter one and chapter two together has laid down a theoretical basis for the following chapters.Starting from the elaboration on the relationship between communication science and the design of Southeast Asia Country Pavilion, chapter three has conducted analysis in terms of transmitters, audiences, media, approaches and contents related with information, and then further comes up with the impacts from information communication process over architecture design. At last it purposes some suggestions regarding the basic working principles for architects under the influence of information communication.Chapter four has carried out systematic analysis and categorizations on the modern architectures which are representative of Southeast Asia region in Southeast Asia Country Pavilion and has further provided explanation and analysis for the pavilion’s design expression as well as the design theories raised previously.Based on information and communication perspective, chapter five has presented the architecture design expressions for Southeast Asia country pavilion at Ruili Nongmo Lake. In addition, combined with the analysis for modern architecture of Southeast Asia tropical regions, it has conducted design for Southeast Asia Country Pavilion and provides expression and analysis for the previously mentioned design theories.The last chapter will make a summary for the whole paper and draw conclusions.
