With the energy crisis and the ecological crisis, building offers comfortable living environment, but also accounts for the same proportion of human energy consumption and30%of the pollution, human society is forced into the era of green buildings; rapid adoption of green building technologies become priority.Most parts of Yunnan province is in the mild region, regional economic development, historic, due to the geographical location advantages,Yunnan is the important to implementation of China’s strategic bridgehead.Due to the special nature of the climate to improve in this area fundamentally different from human comfort in cold areas with hot summer and cold winter areas, active cooling is not applicable, we can only passive cooling aspects to explore this issue.Sorting through a lot of data, found that moderate area specifically for the study, compared with the other shading studies, can be said to drop in the bucket. Within the available information, most of the studies were analyzed from the theoretical level,quantitative analysis is absence.The author attempts to quantify the aid of software analysis tools climatic conditions, the computer software simulation, for more reliable, more evidence-based data.This thesis selected Kunming in the temperate regions,most intense solar radiation by the West facade of the building as the main object of study, a questionnaire survey methods Kunming residents depth survey of western exposure and shading issues. And field visits to the many streets of Kunming, summarize and combing the Current Situation of the shading,clearly list the classification, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of each ways.Through the analysis of the current global and China’s energy status of the domestic shade of conduct and domestic architects use of shade structures to summarize the problems, summed up the development process of building shade combing ancient times, summed up the basic form of the building shade its pros and cons in full consideration to the climatic conditions in Kunming, the status and use of energy resources and problems of the premise, through model simulations quantitatively reproduce the various shading methods, comparing the pros and cons of each mode identify the specific method is best suited for temperate regions building shade, so to prolong the life of the building, reducing energy consumption, thereby creating the environment adapt to Kunming sustainable development. After finding the optimal form, by means of building physics, calculated for each date, and each time the optimal rotation angle shading activities.
