With the rapid progress of science and technology and the continuous expansion of industrial scale, energy consumption has grown at full speed. Currently, the environment and energy crisis is getting worse and worse, which makes the task of optimizing energy structure and seeking alternative energy sources a urgency. Wind energy is a clean and environmentally friendly renewable energy, and when it comes to fundamentally solving our problems of energy and electricity shortages, striving to develop wind power generation is of large hope.Simulation technology is widely used in wind generation technology research because of the characteristic of visualization, high efficiency, low cost, and versatility. This paper uses the Lab VIEW graphical programming technology to develop FPGA applications, which proposed the wind turbine simulation system divided into three parts:host computer%upper computer and slave computer. The model of wind turbine based on blade element theoretical modeling method, and operation platform for parameter configuration and control of WPG set is erected in the host computer, then running in the PXI computer by downloading it into the upper computer. The AC-excited DFIG model basing on stator-flux oriented vector control theory is built on the Lab VIEW FPGA module, and successfully communicates with upper computer by setting parameters of communication module properly. The whole program performance will show on the host computer by Ethernet port in the PXI Real-time controller implementation of the real-time simulation of WTG set in the communica-tion rate1ms. Then watch the WTG set running performance in different wind speed, including the control in no-load condition and grid-tied condition, the maximum wind energy capture control below the rated wind speed and the constant power control above the rated wind speed, which verifies the correctness and scientificalness of choosing control strategy of the WTG set.
