In the actual operation of the power system, random outage of the generators, load fluctuation and line fault will cause the active power imbalance, even large area blackout. With the rapid development of wind power technology, wind power capacity integrated into the power system continues to improve, so the randomness and intermittent of wind power will bring new challenges to the active power balance. In order to maintain secure, stable and economic operation, optimal allocation strategy of spinning reserve suitable for power system with wind integrated is urgently needed.This paper first introduces the definition, classification of the power system reserve and the method of spinning reserve configuration commonly used: deterministic, probabilistic and based on cost-benefit. Analyze the impact on the spinning reserve after wind power integrated into the power grid. According to the different wind permeability, wind power prediction technology and whether the prediction error analysis, propose the corresponding spinning reserve allocation strategy. Explore the possibilities that wind power provides spinning reserve for the power grid.The third chapter expounds the basic concepts and process of the stochastic production simulation, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of two typical stochastic production simulation algorithms. Considering the random outage of the generators and load fluctuation, establishes the sub-models of thermal power unit, hydropower units, pumped storage units and wind turbines, and determines the working location of all units.Finally, this paper establishes the optimized configuration model of spinning reserve suitable for the power system with wind integrated, which takes the comprehensive benefit as the objective function. And combined with the actual history data of power grid, verify the feasibility of this optimization model.
