| Nowadays, electrified railway is playing a more and more important role in the railway system. At the same time, integrated grounding system is being widely used for security reasons. The integrated grounding system links every grounding point of the railway equipment, reducing the electromagnetic interference by using grounding wire. As the grounding wire has a high level of copper content, it is often stolen. Once some part of the grounding wire is lost, there is no immediate reflection, but it may become a potential threat, whether to humans or to machines. So it is crucial to come up with a system focusing on the grounding wire monitoring. In this thesis the condition of the integrated grounding system is discussed and an analysis of the grounding wire monitoring system is offered. Based on relevant technologies, an overall design is made and the hardware and software design is completed. This thesis first introduced the conditions and problems the grounding wire is facing. After that, how the system operates with the help of the auxiliary network is discussed. Then a design of the system is made from the hardware and software extent. At last, an indoor test of the system is made and the error analysis is completed. The whole system is based on an outdoor network consisting of a series of parallel resistors connected no electrically to the grounding wire. Once the grounding wire is stolen or broken at one point, the current in the network is changed. By monitoring the current change the system can locate the position of the broken point and send out alarming information. By the same time, the system keeps a real-time communication with the PC.The indoor test shows that the system can operate as planned. While sampling the current of the network, the indoor monitoring circuit can judge whether there is a broken point or not. If there is one, the indoor circuit can send out alarming information at once and make a display of the start and the end of the broken point range. |
