Logistics park comes into being with the development of modern logistics and it’s among the most important parts of modern logistics system. However, like other type of logistics parks, domestic steel logistics parks also lack scientific plane layout planning, which leads to low operation performance. Proper plane layout planning of logistics parks does benefit the interior working performance and exterior operation level.(1)Based on the analysis of domestic and overseas construction and development of logistics parks, this dissertation explains the meaning and significance of scientific plane layout planning and summarizes the main steps.(2)According to the characteristic of commercial steel logistics park, this dissertation firstly uses elastic coefficient method and grey model predicting the whole consuming volume, then constructs market share model of steel logistics park and estimates the market share. Subsequently, the volume shared by HC steel logistics park is calculated.(3)Through systematic analysis, overall functional orientation, specific function and functional zone of HC steel logistics park are obtained; based on the modified SLP, this dissertation adds constraints into the process of analysis of material relation and non-material relation and layout by Tompkins method, combines the size of every functional zone and realizes plane layout planning of HC steel logistics park conveniently.
