During the time of economic construction in china, consumption of the traditionalbuilding materials is becoming more and more, it also brings a big impact to ourenvironment. Haze has appeared in many provinces and cities, The energy-intensivepolluting materials like concrete and steel can produce much exhaust gas, effluent andoffs cum, they are part of this problem. Therefore seeking the green environmentalprotection building materials to replace the high energy materials is the fundamentalguarantee of reducing energy pollution and developing low-carbon economy.Bamboo has some advantage, such as high tensile strength, good seismicperformance and high speed of growing, it is a kind of new building materials oflightweight, high strength and multi-function. But the original bamboo has differentshapes, the shapes of cross section limit the use in construction industry. Then thebamboo is made as plybamboo or glubam beam with regular shapes. For the problem oflow stiffness, discretization of mechanical property and brittle failure mode, the stirrupenhancement has been proposed, discuss different materials of stirrup and differentstirrup spacing which can improve the effect of stiffness, strength of the bamboo beam.As the research object of this paper, the hoop reinforcement materials and the way thebamboo beam plus hoop were studied. test has been done to this two kinds of glubambeam, we compared the test data and failure pattern. Using Ansys to establish two kindsof bamboo beam model, the static and fatigue analysis have been done, to research theability of stirrup that to improve the bamboo beam to resist fatigue load.The results show that stirrup on the bamboo beams can strengthen the constraints andadhesive ability between interlayer. it also can improve the bending strength, stiffnessand fatigue performance. It overcome the shortcoming of the mechanical properties ofdiscretization,it also proved the assumption of plain section is workable. it also got theimprovement to mechanical properties of beam with different stirrup material anddifferent ways of stirrupping,he result show that under the same load, the allowablecycles times of enhanced beam is greater than the original beam. futher more, make thebamboo widely applied to the construction industry. it also make contribution to energy saving and anti-seismic.
