Research On Cold Mix And Cold Paving Mixture Of The Rural Roads In Rongchang

The rural highway routes are wide distribution and long mileage, if using hot mix asphalt construction, mainly has the following drawbacks:The prices of the mixing and processing equipment for hot mix asphalt production are generally high, especially for the annual demand is not enough of the outer suburbs, potentially improving asphalt processing costs, and through the long-distance transport, the attend temperature of asphalt mixture will loss in large, it will affect the workability and performance of the mixture seriously. This study developed cold mix cold-paving asphalt for rural road construction engineering applications, looking for new ways in Rongchang.Solvent diluted bitumen, was solved the ordinary high temperature asphalt mixture production problems. Tests showed that when the solvent content is22%of the time, won the optimum mix of work and storage stability. To compensate for the influence of solvent on asphalt, the test was added3%additives, made the asphalt mixture performance reached after forming generally hot mix asphalt standards.Analysis cold mix cold-paving asphalt composition characteristics, by asphalt mixture composition and strength theory. Design Interior pilot programs for solvent-based cold mix cold-paving asphalt mix, then design methods are discussed. Made a pair of cold mix cold-paving asphalt road construction performance and performance evaluation methods, evaluation indicators and standards. Summarized from practice and optimizes the cold mix cold-paving asphalt production, storage methods, presents considerations relating thereto, and solvent-based cold mix cold-paving asphalt construction techniques were studied, proposed the use of solvent-based cold mix cold-paving asphalt pavement for new road construction and repair and maintenance of the old road pavement construction methods.Through Bo-san road test section entities engineering construction, and long-term post-observation tracking in Rongchang, indicates that the cold-paving asphalt has excellent road performance to meet the requirements of road rural road pavement, and socio-economic value, worth to promoting applications.
