Mixing and compaction temperature of Asphalt mixture is an important influence factorfor asphalt mixture proportioning design and quality control, and influence the asphaltmixture ratio design, construction quality of asphalt pavement and road performance.therefore, choosing the reasonable method to determine the modified asphalt mixture mixingand compaction temperature is particularly important. This research with the aid of asphaltmixture workability test, which will be used to indirectly converse the viscosity of asphalt tothe mixing of mixture workability to determine asphalt mixture mixing and compactiontemperature,and this method can avoid the differences of viscosity test between matrixasphalt and modified asphalt with different rheological properties. Specific test method is that,we design the experiment in the same experimental conditions, and at the same level, withoil-stone ratio of asphalt mixture, just keep asphalt types as a single variable, if mixingasphalt mixture workability is same, we can consider the presumption of the viscosity is equal.As theoretical basis, respectively make the matrix asphalt and modified asphalt mixtureworkability test, and draw curves to reflect the associate between the mixing temperature andmixing torque. And then, according to matrix asphalt mixture mixing and compactiontemperature to determine the suitable mixing torque value, and then on the modified asphaltmixture workability curve to determine the construction temperature of the modified asphalt.The experimental results show that the modified asphalt mixture mixing and compactiontemperature is reasonable, and this paper recommend the viscosity of modified asphalt mixingand compaction temperature are0.26±0.03Pa·s and0.45±0.05Pa·sThis article used experiment studies to reflect the molding temperature influence on roadperformance of asphalt mixture, and analyzed each performance index how to change with themold temperature. The results of the study is not only beneficial to guide the scene of theasphalt mixture paving and rolling temperature control, and can also predict the quality ofpavement construction according to the site construction conditions.
