The shaker feeder is widely used infields of metallurgy and mining.The improvement of stability and efficiency of shaker feeder is significant to effectiveness of feeder system. Nowadays, shaker feeder is on the way to high accuracy and efficiency. In the process of production practice, shaker feeder tends to damage in terms of damping spring, hanging metal pieces and electrical machinery. Therefore, we need to do dynamic analysis on shaker feeder and find the reason to further improve it.This Paper aims to improve the stability and dynamic characteristics of140T ZD-1490x2580self-synchronizing shaker feeder based on practical condition in mineral processing plant of Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. The feed trough and damping spring system of self-synchronizing shaker feeder ZD-1490×2580are analyzed.ANSYS software is applied in this paper. Before analysis, dynamic finite element model of several parts and the whole system of140T motor shaker feeder ZD-1490×2580are established.Firstly, classical window of ANSYS is applied to three-dimensional solid modeling of feeder system. With the unit of pull, shell and line, mesh model of finite element analysis software is used to generate finite element model for convenience of following calculating.Secondly, Block Lanczos is chosen to calculate finite element model of motor shaker feeder. Former30stages of natural frequency and vibration model are obtained. Through analysis, coupled vibration condition of shaker feeder is known clearly. Based on the modal analysis, harmonic analysis of shaker feeder is applied by ANSYS software. Dynamic amplitude-frequency response curve could be obtained through harmonic response analysis. The result is that shaker feeder may have resonance at the point of20Hz、30Hz and40HzAnd from the drawing of vibration and stress, this structure is content with the using stress.Thirdly, combined with insufficient feeding amount of the feeder in practical work, we do some structural improvements in frame system of shaker feeder; separate the upper frame from the bottom section, with soft connection in middle. Only the plate vibrates with the motor in the improved structure. The quality of the vibration reduced2.2t from3.8t to1.6t, thus solving the shortage of the feeding amount in line with production requirement.
