Due to the current shortage of energy, the demand is increasing. To utilize and develop new energy is obvious urgent. Today, the wind power research has become a upsurge, due to wind power is economy and environmentally, Gradually wind power dominate the part of the market, wind energy development and utilization is increasingly in the world, the scale of wind farms construction is gradually expanding. Thus the early construction of wind farms is an very important part, We should to do a survey analysis of wind farm topography, temperature, barometric pressure and wind speed and give a wind resource assessment. Dispute the results of the wind resource assessment we should do the work of wind turbine selection, choose a wind turbine models reasonably is directly related to the economic issues of the wind farm Therefore, we should determined the wind farm model based on the actual wind resources.Taking into account the rapid development of wind power, China’s wind energy resources are very rich, so the development and utilization of wind farms is very necessary. The early stages of wind resource assessment and wind turbine selection is a necessary aspect to build a wind farm, to site the wind farms as well as the selection of the wind turbine blindly is undesirable. This thesis is mainly to do the research as follows to fight against these problems:(1) Wind resource assessment is a premise of the construction of the wind resources. From the survey data, I give a analysis of the wind zone. According to the average wind power density, days variation and years variation of wind speed, wind speed annual utilization hours, turbulence intensity, and the maximum wind speed in50years, I give a detail assessment. Using MATLAB software drawing weibull distribution for wind speed, wind roses, days variation and years variation of wind speed, and give an analysis for the graphs Selection wind farm wind turbine is very critical to choose the right type of wind turbine is directly related to the utilization of wind energy.(2)The selection of wind turbine and the optimize arrange of turbine are very critical to wind farm, choose the right type of wind turbine or not is directly related to the utilization of wind energy. When consider wake effects in selecting wind turbine, wake effects will lead to the loss of wind energy. The article mainly about the wake from the wind shear and inter-unit distance, using MATLAB software to construct wake models and give the simulation. To choose a reasonable unit by considering the wind turbine power curve, the average capacity factor, and the economic factors. I give a report about the output power from the wake effects in the end. to choose a reasonable wind turbine models based on the wake effects and optimize the layout of the wind turbines, design capacity of the wind farm reasonably, making wind farms acquire maximum economic benefits.(3) Depending on the selected unit types to design wind farms, through the neural networks to predict the design of farm’s wind speed and wind power situation. In this paper, the use of collected wind speed and wind power data, combined with local temperature conditions to give the prediction analysis, show the simulation error curve, to analysis the error fluctuations rationally.According to the forecast error of wind speed and wind power to verify the unit whether a reasonal choice. On the other hand, the wind speed and wind power fluctuations can be observed wind speed in the future by predicting, and provide a guarantee to the security and stability for the grid,this can be effectively put into practice.
