At present, the induction heating technology is the most efficient,fastest,lowenergy consumption and environmental protection technology in terms of the metalmaterial heating. It has been widely applied to the thermal processing, heat treatment,thermal assembly,welding and smelting of metallic materials for variousindustries.Nowadays, the rapid heating for metals or effective heating for somenon-ferrous metals, for example, copper, aluminum alloy and other alloys, requires astrong magnetic field generated by induction coil. Since the conventional inductioncoil is basically wound by a layer of brass or copper, it needs to add a lot of current inthe coil for the purpose of a strong magnetic field.In this way,it is bound to increasethe power dissipation of the secondary winding of transformer and induction coil,atthe same time,it will increase the costs and reduce energy utilization.For these phenomena, this paper aims to innovatively transform the traditionalmethod of single-layered coil induction winding into superimposed double winding inorder to decrease the magnetic loss of the secondary winding and equalize thecurrents of the two induction coils along with a stronger magnetic field and a greatereddy generated by the metal inside the coil. By this way, the purpose of rapid heatingis achieved. Production efficiency as well as the energy utilization rate are alsoincreased. Meanwhile, this method can be widely applied to the heating of all kinds ofmetal. The main contents of this paper include:1.Design double-layered spiral coil models: to design models of double-layeredconnection in series or parallel and analyze the equivalent circuit of the workpiecesfrom the two model in order to identify the key factor in improving efficiency.2.According to the designed model, the copper and hollow copper pipe wereused to wind induction coil of single-layer and double-layered connection in series ordouble-layered spiral connection in parallel.3.To measure the resistance, inductance and the measured value of quality factorwhen the coil is in no-load case or inserted with copper clad aluminum or other copper workpieces: to compare and analyze the electrical efficiency of single-layedor double-layered coil and some other parameters that influence the double-layeredspiral coil.4.To use winding coils and induction power supply to heat the workpiece: to usethe winding double-layered spiral coil in parallel to heat the copper clad aluminumworkpiece and then observe the heating effects.
