| In our country, with the development of the society and economy, in order toexemplify innovation in architectural function, a great number of irregularconstructional structures are emerging over recent years.The planarirregularity andvertical irregularity are the main types of irregular structures. The plane shape,elevation shape, component arrangement, mass distribution or strength distribution ofirregular structures are often cannot meet the requirements of building codes.The damage of irregular structures shows that the regularity has an importantimpact to the seismic performance of structures. The torsioneffect, stressconcentration or weak layer can be caused in irregular structures under earthquakes.Therefore, we should put higher requirements to the seismic design of structures withirregular performance.The traditional brace is an excellent lateral resistancesystem, which is commonlyused in steel structures or reinforced concrete structures. But when endure press underrare earthquakes, the traditional braces will buckle and lose capacity. At the sametime, the seismic-resistance of the structure is ceased because of the reduced energydissipation capacity of buckled traditional braces. The buckling-restrained braces(BRBs) could dissipate the seismic energy when the structure is underrare-earthquake, to protect the beams and columns etc. This ensure the object ofseismic fortification “no collapse under rare-earthquakeâ€. Meanwhile, the BRBs canbe easily repaired at less cost.According to the practical engineering, an irregular reinforced concrete frame byadd buckling-restrained braces (BRBs) have been analyzed. The research contentsincludes following items:1ã€The features, basic principle, advantages and disadvantages of TJ BRBproducts were introduced.2ã€In order to meet the requirements of story drift and period ratio, the structuresystem with TJ BRBs was proposed.According to the practical engineering, four models were analyzed, which including reinforced concrete frame shear wallmodel,reinforced concrete frame shear wallwith traditional braces model,reinforcedconcrete frame shear wall with BRBs model and reinforced concrete frame shearwall with optimized BRBs model.3. According to the four models and adopting the SATWE software, the periodratio, story drift, displacement ratio, tensional displacement ratio, the stress of bracehas been analyzed.4ã€According to reinforced concrete frame shear wall with traditional bracesandoptimized BRBs, this paper compared the results of X axis elastic dynamic timehistory analysisinSATWE and PMSAPsoftwareï¼›5ã€According to reinforced concrete frame shear wall with traditional bracesandoptimized BRBs, this paper also compared the results of X axis elastic dynamic timehistory analysis in EPDA and PMSAP software. And three different seismic wavesare used to simulate in time-history analysis method by software EPDA,and theinelastic dynamic time history results of reinforced concrete frame shear wall withoptimized BRBs are analyzed,The results show that the BRBscan control effectively the tensional deformationof the irregular structures, and the irregular structure with BRBs can dissipate theenergy of rare earthquakes. The study of this paper hasacademic content and realsense in the application of BRBs in irregular structure. |
