At present, China is vigorously developing smart grid construction, theconstruction of Smart Substation is the core content of the construction of smartgrid. The construction of Smart Substation need intelligent transformation of theexisting substation, mainly refers to the intelligent primary equipment. Itincludes that electronic transformer is used to instead of the traditionaltransformer and the traditional high voltage switch is replaced by intelligentswitch. The purpose of doing so is to realize the effective isolation of high-voltage circuit and low voltage circuit, ensure the stability and the simplemaintenance of the substation. At present, in order to ensure the realization of anintelligent primary equipment in Smart Substation, a device called intelligentterminal is introduced. It is also known as the control unit. Through this kind ofequipment, traditional primary equipment can be made intelligent, in favor of theintelligent transformation of traditional substation. The control unit of intelligentswitch is a kind of intelligent terminal, this equipment is indispensable in theconstruction of smart grid. At present in domestic, there are not many suchequipment products, the technology is not unified and mature, and there is a greatmarket demand. So the control unit of intelligent switch is still worth studying.First, this thesis introduces the background of the research of intelligentcontrol unit, the characteristics of the equipment, and its current situation of thedevelopment at home and abroad. Then, this paper studies the microcomputerprotection algorithms of control unit, and introduces some traditional algorithms,and creatively put forward a new algorithm, and compare several algorithmsthrough simulation and analysis, illustrate the superiority of the new algorithm,so as to determine the algorithms of the control unit. For the control unit, it isstudied about the realization of the line protection, which is how to realize thesegmented current protection, focusing on the inverse time overcurrent protectionand its coordination problems. It provides some references for the practicalapplication. For single-phase automatic reclosing in high voltage system, there isfault phase selection problem. So it is studied and determined of the calculationmethod and phase selection scheme. Considering the actual application of control unit, its hardware adoptsmodular design, it includes the design of main control circuit, and the design ofsampling circuit board. The sampling transformer coils are also designed.Through the experiment, hardware is tested, and the feasibility of the design isverified.The control unit of intelligent switch is still need further research, this paperprovides some reliable support and reference for the follow-up study.
