With the development of digital electronic technology and permanent magnet materials, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) has been widely used in real life. The drive system of PMSM currently used is mainly through the mechanical sensor to collect the positions of motor rotors. This essay mainly studies about the method of achieving the sensorless control system of PMSM by the way of high frequency rotating voltage injection. In the first place, I established and analyzed the mathematical models of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM). It was through the fundamental of high frequency rotating voltage injection to deduce the IPMSM high frequency response current and to analyze its extraction method. The extraction and demodulation of high frequency response currents were through the simulation. Thereby, negative sequence components with the information of motor rotor positions were acquired. And then, this essay analyzed the motor models under saturation and identified the initial positions of rotors in accordance with the IPMSM salient magnetic saturation characteristics. According to the analysis of the factors which were influencing the estimation of motor rotor positions, I have designed the Luenberger Observer with compensation effect, to offset the estimation errors of the system. In order to examine the effect of the Luenberger Observer which is designed in this essay, simulation experiments were carried out by Matlab simulation software. Sensorless control system can enhance the flexibility and reliability of the motor control system, but also save the costs which are increased by mechanical sensor. At last, this essay established the experimental platform of IPMSM; designed hardware drive system of high frequency rotating voltage injection on the basis of Infineon XMC4500 microcontroller; and programmed the software system with C language. Through practical experiments to verified the correctness and feasibility of using the way of high frequency rotating voltage injection to estimate IPMSM rotor positions.
