| With the development of wood-plastic composites (WPCs), the applications of WPCs windows become more and more widely, and the research on the corner connection of WPCs windows is increasing deeply. Based on the predecessors’ experience, my own practice and the trends of the connection technology in WPCs, composite connection, combing of fusion welding and injection technology, was applied to the research of corner connection of WPCs windows. It provides a new choice for the corner connection mode of WPCs windows. Combined with the characteristics and conditions which the composite connection needs, the paper would do some research from the following aspects.The moldflow analysis was done for the process of injecting connection by using Moldflow software, the related technological parameters were determined according to the molding process conditions of injecting connection. The analysis results would also lay the foundation for the injecting connection mould design of the WPCs windows.The injecting connection mould was designed, and the mould parts, ejector mechanism and cooling system of mould was designed and analyzed, in addition,3D modeling of mould and the cyclic motion of mould process were analyzed by using Pro/ENGINEER software.The test was done to verify the feasibility of this new type of composite connection, the tests included fusion welding connection test and injection connection test of WPCs windows, and the orthogonal plan and the seal plan for windows’ inner cavity was designed. The feasibility of composite connection was verified by the tests, and the connecting parameters were determined, exhibiting higher connection strength.The connecting conditions, which were determined by moldflow analysis, the design of WPCs windows’ injecting connection mould and the connecting parameters, which were determined in tests, formed a relatively complete composite connection technology for the WPCs windows, and could be applied to production practice of WPCs windows. |
