| Design and construction or management of tailings dam is mainly concentratedon the tailings dam, the effect of rainfall on tailings dam in fewer and fewer. However,most of tailings dam failure occurred during the rains, so the research on the influenceof rainfall infiltration on the stability of the tailings dam of far-reaching significance.Rainfall infiltration increased the dam saturation, the matric suction decreases, theshear strength decreased greatly, when precipitation reaches a certain degree, thepossible failure, may eventually lead to the dam. The main research contents andachievements of this paper are as follows:(1) Based on the meteorological data of local rainfall, tailings dam in differenttime,24,48,60and72hours after the pore water pressure, displacement, stress,seepage velocity and volumetric moisture content change rule is simulated usingABAQUS. The simulation results show that with the rainfall of the upper holepressure increases, the matric suction decreases, the surface suction decreases, surfacepore pressure at transient saturation. The dam displacement increases with theincrease of high dam, displacement in the X direction occurred in the shallow layer.With the effective rainfall of the dam stress decreases, especially shear dam wasdeclined, then rebounded, but the magnitude is very small. In the dam slope stressincreases with rainfall. The strain has the biggest places in the dam site. From thesurface to the depths, water content on the whole is rising. The moisture migration inthe dam surface layer to the internal migration from top to toe. The simulation resultscan guide the design and construction work well.(2)Tailings dam safety is affected in the storm conditions, safety coefficientABAQUS is1.15, then beyond its critical value1, the tailing dam needs somemeasures to drain.(3)According to the comparison between pore pressure and displacement oftailings dam numerical simulation of tailings dam exploration data and the actualconduct of the variation with time of the rules, to verify the reliability of simulation. Selecting three points for simulation, the results show that the numerical results andthe tailings dam exploration data results, show that the simulation results can be usedin practice, and successfully predicted the variation of rainfall. |
