Reverse engineering is one of the important means of advanced manufacturingtechnology in our country. With its emergence and development, it achieves thereconstruction process and product redesign prototype parts. Through the basicprinciple and method of reverse engineering, it establishes and masters their ownproduct design technology, and it is also an important means to enhance the level ofmanufacturing technology in China.In the reverse engineering, product3D geometric model reconstruction is oneof the most critical and most complex linking. This article will reverse process ofturbine blade in a typical part as an example, study the surface process of reversedesign, and realize the real digital design and manufacture.On the basis of surface reconstruction, after data preprocessing, usingImageware software first, it will get point cloud data extraction of characteristics,and then use UG software, through the surface reconstruction from point to line toplane, establish a three-dimensional model of the blade; And it discusses the reversesurface in the process of skills, also provides ample preparation for the subsequentprocessing. After reconstructing the surface, and further analyzes the re-factoringprocess are prone to error. Some effective measures can be putted forward.With reconstructing of the blade surface, it analyzes the processing technologyof the blade, the use of rapid prototyping technology, which combined with thestructure characteristics of the blade, in AuroraFM software decompose the model,merger the model and so on, then,it imports the3D printer parts and completeentity processing with molding samples. Finally, with analyzing the inevitable inthe process of forming some data error and systematic error, it puts forward thecorresponding improvement measures.
