Due to the high frequency bandUHF method, the interference small, to signal characteristic features to save the verycomprehensive, so, the paper chooses UHF method to detect partial discharge SF6circuitbreaker, through the design a set of test system and field application, the signal is thecorresponding analysis, finally achieved the positioning of the signal source of PD, inpractical terms, the article made a few aspects work:(1) Analysis SF6circuit breaker produce partial discharge of reason, and to producepartial discharge, the various phenomena appear were explained, and analyses theaccording to these phenomena and of generation partial discharge detection method andthe advantages and disadvantages of, because the UHF method the interference withsmall, can maximize the advantages of the signal features save PD, according to therequirements of the transformer substation baoding environment, the paper chooses UHFas a method for testing.(2) It is designed on the basis of the test system of UHF PD, thissystem consists of UHF sensors, UHF signal amplifiers, transmission lines, digital filtercomposition, working band is mainly distributed in the300MHz to1200MHz.(3) In theanalysis of signal, wavelet packet analysis, the noise of the signal will PD removal,through the corresponding transformation of utmost retained the UHF signals the highfrequency part, will partial discharge characteristics of maximum reservation; In PDsource orientation, introduces the amplitude comparison method, and divide the surfacemethod, signal has method and two sensors lag between the advantages anddisadvantages of the positioning of the principle and, finally choosing two timeorientation sensor method to locate.Finally, through the test in, all the theory all applications, confirmed the feasibilityof the method.
