Electric power industry is the pillar industry of modern country, electricityproduction reflects an important index of a country’s economic development level. Atpresent, thermal power is the dominance in the electric power industry, the second ishydropower and nuclear power. In the thermal power plant and nuclear power plants,the vast majority of electricity is generated by the steam turbine and turns a generator.Therefore, the steam turbine is indispensable to modern state power industrymachinery equipment.At present, many power plant generator turbine continuous deformation andleakage problems, especially in low pressure cylinder deformation and leakage is themost common. These phenomena have been directly affect the safety and stability ofthe generating set. As a result, many power plants began to pay attention to thetechnology of steam turbine low pressure cylinder, in the hope to overcome theproblems of low pressure cylinder, in three aspects from the technical, economic andsocial effect of gain. However, how the effect after transforming turbine low pressurecylinder has not been scientific and rational argument.In this paper, after reading a large number of literature and on-the-spotinvestigation study, on the basis of600MW steam turbine low pressure cylinder fromXibaipo deformation and leakage problems, fully analyzed the causes of this a seriesof problems. By tinkering with the steam turbine low pressure cylinder process,summed up the evaluation of600MW steam turbine low pressure cylinder xibaipomodification effect of effective index. From the effect of technical, economical andsocial benefits using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method in three aspects: thecomprehensive evaluation on the effect of the modification of the steam turbine lowpressure cylinder. Evaluation results show that the overall effect of the modification isbest, especially the economic effect is better. It also provides reference for otherpower plant steam turbine technology renovation.
