At present, common design software institute buy does not meet habits of thestaff. So electrical design software is studied from the following three aspects:Firstly, according to the structural characteristics of the electrical one-linediagram at substation, it’s proposed that designing the database which storeselectrical properties and graphics properties of the equipment in the paper. And anintelligent graphical modeling and automatic implement of main electricalconnections are achieved based on the database. By means of the graph databaseintegrated platform, a topology analyzing method based on bus for main electricalconnections is presented, which is capable of not only computer graphics processingeasily, but also describing accurately and reliably the topological structure of themain electrical connections. The principle of this method is starting from bus, and theconnection between non-bus components and bus can be calculated throughcoordinate of endpoint of equipment stored in the database. Finally the nodeadmittance matrix is obtained and the calculation of short circuit current is completedautomatically. The method of circuit current calculation program is validated bypractical example.Secondly, the secondary development of AutoCAD is applied to the study oflightning protection design. The article gives a more detailed description of lightningprotection technology and does a more detailed exposition about principles of theprotection of lightning and calculation methods of lightning protection scope. Then alightning protection scheme of substation is designed.Finally, the secondary development of AutoCAD is applied to ground-aideddesign software of substation, and to check the grounding resistance, touch potential,step voltage and other parameters, and to automatically generate grounding grid ofsubstation; and can automatically generate calculations.
