Low voltage Control and Protective Switching Devices is a single magnetic structureto achieve the integrated functions of breakers, contactors, thermal relays. Due to the highdegree of integration, CPS looks like an ordinary electromagnetic contactors, but it has thegood characteristics of energy consumption, long service life and miniaturization volume.The electromagnetic system of CPS needs to maintain the pull-in status by powerconsumption. In order to achieve the more stability of electromagnetic system, more greatsaving of power, it has proposed the permanent-magnet electromagnetic system.With the permanent magnets of the electromagnetic system, it makes it entirely onpermanent magnet to maintain pull. The pull-keeping process does not consume power andprotects more power, especially suitable for infrequent operating occasion. Theelectromagnetic system of315-type CPS taken as the investigation, it has analyzed thestatic property and dynamic simulation of the electromagnetic system. According to theimprovement of its structure, it has achieved to meet the requirements of its dynamicoperating. The contents are as follow:First of all, it has analyzed the operation principle and characteristics ofelectromagnetic system through theoretical and practical research. From a practical andfeasible point of view, it has presented permanent-magnet electromagnetic system design.Secondly, the finite element model of CPS electromagnetic system has established. Underdifferent programs, the static suction characteristic has computed and the dynamiccharacteristics has simulated. It has obtained a preliminary structure of the electromagneticsystem. By improvement and simulation, the static and dynamic characteristics ofelectromagnetic systems have calculated, and successfully applied to another CPS type.Finally, it has designed the prototype and testing platform. By testing means, it has verifiedthe rationality and accuracy of static and dynamic simulation analysis. The results showthat simulation and experimental results have good consistency and achieved the desireddesign purpose.In summary, the proposed permanent-magnet type electromagnetic system of CPS hasthe energy-saving advantages and meets the operating requirements. It has certainapplicability in the low-voltage electrical equipment.
