The retaining structure of foundation pit occupies a crucial position in construction ofcivil engineering,it affects the stability of the whole structure of the building.The currentevaluation of retaining structure stability of foundation pit is based on the safety factor,andthe system of evaluation about the aspect of reliability is not normalized.Because thereliability of stability about the retaining structure of foundation pit is related with theanalysis of reliability about structural engineering and geotechnical engineering,it is intactthat the system of evaluation about the retaining structure stability of foundation pit shouldcombine research results of the both aspects.This paper studys the reliability of the stability about the retaining structure offoundation pit through studying the reliability theory in geotechnical engineering atfirst,and then with the help of numerical calculation software MATLAB,and at the sametime,utilizes ABAQUS to simulate the stress,deformation of the retaining structure in orderto assist the research.Through changing the parameters of the earth and structural membersto study their influences to the safety factor and reliability index of the retaining structureabout the foundation pit,and the primary contents are as demonstrated in the next:1.This paper is grounded on the theory of reliability, it precisely illustrates thecalculation method of reliability index under the condition of independent variables andrelevant variables,and the calculation steps of different reliability index are listed throughcalculation diagrams, in the meantime, it summarizes the applied scope, advantages anddisadvantages of transforming method which is Orthogonal transformation,Rosenblatttransformation and Nataf transformation under the relevant variables condition,and thenchoose the suitable method to apply for the following actual project.2.This paper makes use of the designing point method and Orthogonal transformingmethod to check the reliability of stability on the retaining structure of the foundationpit,and selects the cement soil wall as an engineering instance,it analyzes the effects on thereliability,which are sliding stability,overturning stability,basal heave stability and overallstability through converting the angle of internal friction,cohesion c and correlationcoefficient.3.This paper also takes advantages of the finite element software ABAQUS tosimulate the engineering examples,and by altering the angle of internalfriction,cohesion c and the overload of active zone q to analyze the force and deformation of retaining structure, meanwhile,the results is used to assist analyzing therationality of stability checking,afterall,some meaningful suggestions will be put forward.
