Landscape Elements Application Of Children’s Play Space

Currently,China children’s play space is simple and boring.It has directly hindered thechild’s playing behavior and nearly meets the physical and psychological needs of children inthe development process. Therefore, to improve children’s play environment is imminent. Inthe course of this paper,elements of the application landscape in children’s play space isdiscussed,combined with the physiological and psychological changes of children.First of all, there are many physiological changes such as height and weight increased,children’s improved visual ability, color preference, spatial intelligence and language skillsduring the children’s growth. Only by deeply understanding the specific situations of eachstage of the children, can we design targeted children ’s game space,and be liked by childrenat different developmental stages.Secondly, study on suckling period, baby at later stage,infancy, childhood andadolescence different games preference and different game e abilities of playing. The paperis divided game types to sensory-based games, sports games, communication and social-based games, creative game according to the physiological needs of children.And explorehow to present these four types of games in the children’s activity space. In addition, researchon the venue for the four types of games which are traditional game venues, modernplaygrounds, adventure playgrounds, creative playgrounds. Finding the constitute way andthe advantages and disadvantages of each type of the playgrounds.Thirdly, study on the general characteristics and design features on children’s activityarea of comprehensive park, children’s activity space in residential areas, nursery areas foroutdoor activities which children spend most time and go frequency.Finally, the paper discussed the plants, water, terrain, pavement and gaming facilities inchildren’s activities space. Including the role of plants in the children’s activity center andselection principles of plants choosing.The role and application of water at children’s activitycenter and the affecting factors of water bodies.how do the five kinds of terrains flat,convex, the ridges, depressions affect children’s activities. how to properly apply pavementmaterials, colors, dimensions, configuration to meet children’s psychological and physiological needs.How to design the playing facilities.
