Due to the special structure of large public buildings, the cooling and heatingloads of the building are not limited to heating in winter or cooling in summer.Simultaneous cooling and heating in winter and transition season is also required.This paper indicated that cooling and heating sources integrated machine could beused in a building where cooling and heating loads were both needed. The coolingand heating sources integrated machine in the paper was developed based on the airsource heat pump. The operating mode offered both cooling and heating sources forthe building. This paper investigated the main influencing factors of COPr.Firstly, this paper analyzed the conditions of cooling and heating loads in largepublic buildings in areas cold in winter and hot in summer, and further described themanufacturing principles of the cooling and heating sources integrated machine, thedesign foundation of the machine parts, and automatic control and regulation whenthe external load conditions changed. It provided the foundation of studying the maininfluencing factors of COPr.Secondly, the paper thermodynamically analyzed the influences of ambienttemperature and hot water temperature on COPr with different ratios of cooling andheating loads. Based on the theoretical analysis, this paper studied the new kind ofcooling and heating sources integrated machine of People Hospital of ShanghaiPudong New Area. According to the information provided by the manufacturer, theactual operation principle of the unit was analyzed. By running the unit tests in theactual project, the influences of ambient temperature and hot water temperature on theunit operation were further investigated in different operating conditions of singlecooling, single heating and heating-cooling, verifying the accuracy of the theoreticalanalysis. This work pointed out the advantage of a reasonable proportion of coolingand heating loads for the efficient operation of the machine and provided guidance forthe designers in the condition of cooling and heating loads coexist.
