Eccentrically braced steel frame has good seismic behavior, is a very suitable forapplication in high intensity seismic area of high-rise steel structures. Eccentric supportsystem is that the support connected with the location of the off center of the beamssection, Eccentric braced steel frame has both the center support structure and theeccentric braced steel frame advantage, which effectively improve the stiffness of theframe structure and the strength, and can play the supporting beam of the seismicenergy dissipation effect, greatly improve the frame structure of the seismic energydissipation capacity and the ductility of the structure. That is to say, the eccentricsupport structure can ensure the structure has enough stiffness and strength duringnormal use, and can be by giving full play to the advantages of link beams that whenaccidental load happen to protect the stability of the structure and the foundationbearing capacity.K shape eccentrically braced is a main form of eccentric support system. Becausethe K-type steel frame can produce link beams to improve the characteristics of thestructure of the energy dissipation capacity, based on consideration of the nonlinear ofthe material, use ABAQUS software to simulation the models of K type eccentricallybraced steel frame structure which’s link beam is length is all different.Compare the model in the mechanical properties under unidirectional loading andstructure under the action of cyclic loading ability of hysteresis, to understand K shapeeccentrically braced structure of ductility and bearing capacity, the change of lateralstiffness and energy dissipation capacity. It is concluded that K shape eccentricallybraced system energy beam section of the length of the effect the performance of thestructure. And use K type structure model on the basis of the analysis of the results witha reasonable selection of Y type eccentrically braced model of ABAQUS finite elementanalysis results are compared, K shape eccentrically braced steel frame is obtained bycomparative analysis of the characteristics, for K shape eccentrically braced steel framewith applications to provide the reference and basis in the engineering practice.
