The rocking wall is a component that throught the whole height of the structure.Controlling the lateral deformation mode of the structure through the walls’limitedturns. The story drift become more uniform distributed and the deformationconcentration phenomena significant improve thanks to the rocking wall. Preventing theoccurrence of partial yield failure mechanism, making the stable overall failuremechanism. In order to study the rocking wall stiffness on seismic behavior of frame rockingwall. This paper use finite element software SAP2000to built three sets reinforcedconcrete frame models that respectively corresponding to the four layer six and eight.Reaching with the rocking wall stiffness increases, the framework mechanism of injurygradually improved, The results showed that:(1)With the rocking wall stiffness increases, the framework mechanism of injurygradually improved, more uniform deformation of the frame, drift angle tends to bemore consistent. But to certain extent rigidity, a further increase in its value willstabilize the seismic performance of structures.(2)When stiffness ratio less than1.6%, it is only a small effect to the failuremechanism of the framework. When the ratio greater than2.5%, it began to changethe failure mechanism, from story failure mechanism to overall failure mechanismgradually. Once the ratio greater than7%, structure could own the stable overallfailure mechanism.(3)With the increase of earthquake force, the DCF of each sets model with thesame stiffness ratio share the same change trend, and has nothing to do with thelayer number.
