Based on the finite element analysis software SAP2000 in this paper, frame structure, rocking wall structure, rocking coupled wall structure and coupled shear wall(RCW) structure model are established and analyzed for the nonlinear static. Simplified calculation under simplified conditions of the stress characteristics of rocking coupled wall structure. Analyzed the beam on rocking coupled wall structure used general finite element analysis software ABAQUS and the influence of structural damage mechanism.(1) The beam as wall-beam involved in the rocking coupled wall structure system, and provides a certain amount of lateral stiffness on the structure. The beam form plastic hinge after yield could maintain lateral bearing capacity, also have certain ability of energy consumption besides the main framework of damage energy dissipation.(2) The minimum shear of the coupling beam appears at the top of the structure, and super linear increasing to reach maximum at the bottom. The wall limb minimum axial force at the top, and super linear increasing trend to reach maximum at the bottom. The moment of the wall is zero at a certain height and up and down all increased gradually, and as the reverse bending moment, after reaching a maximum at the top and bottom of the wall converges to zero. Which internal force response similar to the torque load of the beam udder the same direction on both ends.(3) The damage mechanisms of RCW is expected to be: under small earthquake, the structure can provide a certain resistance to lateral force; Under moderate earthquake, entered the stage of elastic-plastic coupling beam and consume a large amount of energy; Even the beam yield under strong earthquake and produce plastic hinge, make the structure form excellent failure mechanism.
