Setting the rocking wall in the frame structure is an implementation form of the earthquake resilient structure. The rocking wall has been used in seismic reinforcement, but there is no mature domestic engineering application and design method. At present, the main research model is to set the rocking wall in the longitudinal direction of the structure, and then carries on single direction pushover analysis to the model, and studies its improvement effect on the longitudinal seismic capacity of the frame. There is a lack of systematic understanding of the failure process of frame-rocking wall structure under bidirectional pushover analysis, especially the influence of rocking-wall set position on the seismic performance of the structure and the response characteristics under dynamic loading.Based on this, this paper mainly carries out bidirectional pushover analysis and dynamic analysis on the models of rocking walls set in the different positions of the structure, and makes a comparative analysis on the seismic performance and failure mechanism of the structure under different settings of rocking walls.Through non-linear simulation, the failure process and characteristics of frame-rocking wall under bidirectional pushover analysis. The results show that the longitudinal rocking wall has no effect on the seismic performance of the structure under the direction of the vertical rocking wall, but the lateral rolling wall improves the lateral bearing capacity of the structure. The main improvement of the rocking wall is the inter-layer displacement under the direction of the parallel rocking wall, and the lateral bearing capacity of the rocking wall is slightly increased in the plastic stage. The position of the rocking wall has little influence on the seismic performance of the frame, but the direction of the rocking wall has great influence on the seismic performance of the structure. The rocking wall layout may change the vibration mode of the original structure, which indicates that the adverse vibration mode of the structure can be changed and the seismic performance can be improved by adopting appropriate rocking wall layout in practical engineering. On the basis of the above static nonlinear analysis, the nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis of the seismic performance of the frame-rocking wall structure isfurther developed. The time-history response process and characteristics of the displacement of the top center of mass of the frame-rocking wall structure under earthquake action are studied, and the distribution and development law of the plastic hinge of the structure are analyzed. It is shown that the addition of the rocking wall will not change the time when the plastic hinge appears at the beginning of the frame beam and column, but will change the yield order and distribution position of the frame beam and column.
