ABSTRACT:Temperature is an important load of bridge design and construction, Temperature displacements and thermal stress have a significant impact on the safety and quality of bridge construction. Temperature has a strong regionality. In this paper, temperature field and temperature effects of concrete box girder during the construction in Tianjin were tested and calculated. The main contents include:(1) The three seasons (summer, autumn, winter) temperature field of the box girder bridge were measured.(2) According to the temperature data, temperature and temperature gradient in the box girder were analyzed in different seasons as well as flange plate shielding.(3) Suggested formulas for vertical temperature gradient and web transverse temperature gradient of concrete box girder located in Tianjin were proposed.(4) Temperature effects of different temperature gradients at different stages of the bridge construction were generated simulation by MIDAS/CIVIL.(5) The measures of temperature effects on cantilever box girder pouring linear control were proposed.
