Urbanization has been well-know to all people in China for a long time, and the side-effect is becoming more and more significant, which makes cities appear the same and lose their feature. It first manifest on building height. It is at large that how to control building height in order to preservation and develop city feature for most of the cities in our country.Aiming at this situation, this paper discusses the research on its overall style under the perspective of building height control strategy. Changsha yuelu district which is an example becomes the key to yuelu district to establish urban landscape features, in the city of height control level to realize the coordinative development of urban construction and environmental protection.The paper first related concept and literature are reviewed, and based on the domestic and foreign city excessive control system and the comparative study of related experience which found which is insufficient and which can be used for reference for yuelu district building height control strategy to provide theoretical and empirical support. Second, through the related basic theory and analysis of urban landscape construction,the paper proposed view of the city overall style under the perspective of building height control strategy. Finally, the comprehensive analysis of Yuelu district history, the humanities, the natural, the construction and development in our country, has been clear about the yuelu district city features and existing problems and the possible use of space form level and excavate potential, building height control of yuelu district were analyzed, and the final shape yuelu district good complete landscape features.
