Rotary cutting drill plays an increasingly important role in rock drilling market with its special drilling feature. It is a tendency that the virtual prototyping applied for researching and designing of the rotary cutting drill. The thesis made a study of the performance analysis and optimization design of rotary cutting drill working mechanism. The main job is as followed:Summarized the status of research and development of the rotary cutting drill and Vitual Prototyping at home and abroad,in view of the great Rotary cutting drill at present in the industry demand,introduced the structure characteristics and the working principle of the SWDR150Rotary cutting drill, analyzed the kinematics and the dynamics of the working mechanism, calculated stabilization of the SWDR150Rotary cutting drill,.Applied the three-dimensional modeling software Pro/E and system kinematics/dynamics analysis software ADAMS, setting up the Rotary cutting drill "s virtual prototype. And studied the dynamics simulation of boom pitching, rig pitching, deflector deflection. The study provides the basis for strength analysis of working mechanism’s structural and hydraulic cylinder design.Using ADAMS software to re-build the parametric virtual prototype of the SWDR150Rotary cutting drill’s working mechanism including boom pitching mechanism, rig pitching mechanism and deflector deflection mechanism, and completing the optimization. The thesis analysis and researches the results of the optimization, providing theoretical basis and design principles for the design of the SWDR150Rotary cutting drill working mechanism.The thesis took SWDR150Rotary cutting drill as the research object, performed the experiments for the boom pitching, rig pitching and deflector deflection respectively, verified the accuracy of the Rotary cutting drill working mechanism’s virtual prototype and the simulation results. The thesis provides the basis for the research of optimization design of the Rotary cutting drill’s working mechanism, and provides a powerful reference for the same kind of product design.
