Urban Color Planning

In people with the eyes of the world, color is the most important visual element. Which arrives in a city, the city’s color will give people the first impression. Thus, the city color is the city one of the most vivid business card, it can not only beautify the urban environment, improve the city’s image, but also closely related the daily life of the residents in the city. From the beginning in the1970s,the international community has been carried out the color of urban studies, and in the urban planning and design practice has been effectively implement and manage. In comparison, urban color planning studies in China started relatively late, but in recent years in urban planning practice more and more government agencies and designers planning attention, so that the city is currently planning a color that is strange and familiar content. In this paper, from the current status of urban planning background color our view, lead to urban color planning concepts, introduce the relevant theoretical framework to study explores the urban color planning related strategies. Meanwhile by Guangzhou Urban Color Planning as an example, the bases of research and study of the data, elaborated composition and color characteristics of the city of Guangzhou Urban Color Planning, analyzing its color system to establish the root cause of the city, showing the color of the key areas of planning in Guangzhou.
