According to the term nuclear power development plan(2005-2020),the installedcapacity of nuclear power will reach40million kilowatts, nuclear power will increase from2600to280billion kwh.In the current,about23million capacity kilowatts has been goneinto operation, which is far more than16.968million kilowatts of installedcapacity.Meanwhile, considering the subsequent development of nuclear power, the nuclearpower capacity should be maintained about18million kilowatts in the construction at theend of2020.With the rapid development of nuclear power,in order to meet the demand fornuclear fuel,a new uranium conversion production line must be built to meet China’snuclear power development on the demand for natural UF6.Uranium conversion is a rapid reaction of UF4that is is the reaction of UO2andAnhydrous HF and F2producing UF6at high temperatures. In this paper, the main processin the uranium conversion production line is the object of study, the safety systemsengineering principles and methods is used to analyze and identify the inherent hazards orpotential hazards of harmful factors in the production process, and estimate theconsequences and main conditions that lead to accidents, and study and proposecountermeasures safety technology, which contribute to improvement of intrinsic safety ofuranium conversion production line.
