Recent years, some electric power companies find that large transformers outputshort-circuit lead to transformer winding deformation or damage. The main reason is theexistence of transformer congenital anti-short circuit ability insufficient familial defects,secondly the existing mode of operation have relations from the short circuit current islarger. Therefore on one hand for anti-short circuit ability serious shortage of transformerin addition to make necessary low voltage side prevent output short circuit measuresbesides, when necessary return factory to upgrade anti-short circuit ability; On the otherhand solutions are seeking by changing the mode of operation, reduce transformershort-circuit current level.This paper combined with the actual work condition of electric power, the statisticalanalysis in electric power company because suffer short circuit and produce windingdeformation and damage of the transformer. Based on in-depth study of domestic andforeign various transformer anti-short circuit ability calculation method on the basis ofJapan transformer professional committee recommended calculation methods for theperfect, the thesis puts forward the electric power company used large amplitudetransformer to anti-short circuit ability check method. Finally, using the VC programdeveloped transformer anti-short circuit ability field check software, realizing thetransformer material management, transformer resistance short-circuit force calculationand field test.
