This paper consider that the power system will cause the changes of the system capacity and network topology and power systems in operating modewith the rapid growth of electric load. System capacity of the power transformer change the accuracy of shot-circuit current calculation, it studies on local calibration method for short circuit withstands ability of transformer. First, the three windings of the transformer short-circuit current theory and the simulation shows that short position, the system capacity and the size of load impact of the maximum short-circuit current of the way. Secondly, the use of time-series forecasting methods, in the past nearly 10 years in a certain area of consumption data as an example, forecast and capacity of the system impedance change, that the calculation of the change in the system capacity transformer short-circuit current size of the impact. Finally, local calibration of transformer short circuit withstands ability software is made by Visual Basic 6.0, it implements the transformer information management, and the calculation and local calibration of transformer short circuit withstand ability.
