Urban road network is the basis for urban transport, Modern urban roda network scalebecomes more and more huge and its structure becomes more and more complex,with therequirement of people for trip quality is more and more high. those all make the research onthe roda network reliability takes more and more attention. Urban road network reliability isthe level at which the various service it offers can satisfy the demand of trip makers.And,it isone of the important indexes to measure the quality of the road network. Studies on Urbanroad network reliability can provide important reference value for the urban road networkdesigner, and it has significant practical significance, considering the road network reliabilityissues can help traffic planner and decision-makers planning and making a better roadnetwork design.At the time of writing this paper,I have read literature related to the study extensively.First, draw lessons from domestic and foreign research related to road network reliabilityindex, through the random analysis of traffic demand and supply. established thisspontaneously and unblocked reliability indexes, for a better evaluation of urban road trafficnetwork running status. On this basis, draw lessons from the general principle of networksystem reliability, proposed the road unit (including intersection and road), always point (ODpair) and the smooth flow of the entire road network system reliability analysis methods, andconsidering the influence of the unit block correlation of road network, meanwhile,considering the importance of the analyses of unit importance degree, finally the article witha small test network verified its feasibility. Secondly, through the analysis in road networkdesign research at home and abroad, summarizes the shortcomings in the course of study, putforward the road network reliability is used in the design of the road network, in order toimprove the congestion state of network, improve the reliability of the network system,Aiming at this problem,Establishes the bi-level programming model of unblocked relibailityfor optimal design of two-way road network, the model of the upper aims at realizing themaximization of urban road network, set up a fixed lower demand of UE with flow model asthe foundation, through the traffic flow distribution, Through lane adjustment, networkunblocked reliability can be improved, the road network can be optimized. At last, anumerical example is used to analyse the implementation process of the bi-level programmingmodel, verifies the effectiveness of the model and method and acquires some new conclusions,all of these,lay the foundation for further research work.
