With the rapid of development of railway transportation in china, the railway signalingsystem has become an important means to ensure the safety and efficiency of railway trans-portation. Track circuit is one of the key equipment of railway signal system, which plays avery important role in railway transportation system. At present, ZPW-2000A jointless fre-quency shift track circuit equipment is widely used in railway signaling system in China, itsreliability and performance is not only relate to the safety and efficiency of railway transpor-tation, but also affects the development of transport industry of China’s railway transportationand the life and property safety of passengers, so it has a important theoretical and practicalsignificance to research on the reliability of ZPW-2000A track circuit. This thesis is based ona key project of Ministry of railways, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and fault treeanalysis (FTA) are proposed for analysis on the reliability of ZPW-2000A jointless frequencyshift track circuit according to the actual ZPW-2000A jointless frequency shift track circuitstructure, so as to provide a reference for the study of track circuit reliability.First of all, the basic theoretical knowledge of ZPW-2000A jointless frequency shifttrack circuit are elaborated in detail, mainly consisting of the main technical features, themain technical conditions and the main technical indexes. At the same time, the working prin-ciple and the components of system are also described.Secondly, FMEA method is used to analyze ZPW-2000A jointless frequency shift trackcircuit. The definition of FMEA content, the division of system analytic hierarchy and the re-liability block diagram of the system are completed according to the structure and workingprinciple of track circuit system, then each device is analyzed one by one in accordance withthe failure criterion, all possible potential failure modes, failure causes, fault consequencesand its detection method are obtained. The risk priority number (RPN) is used for risk analy-sis of track circuit system, and corresponding remedial measures is made to eliminate or re-duce these risks.Finally, ZPW-2000A jointless frequency shift track circuit system fault tree is built, theminimum cut sets and the weak link is got by FTA, and Monte Carlo method is combined toanalyze the reliability of the system, then improvement measures are proposed in order to im-prove the reliability performance of track circuit and provide the reference for the relevantdepartments. The results show that the reliability research method of the thesis is scientificand effective by comparison with relevant technical regulations.
