Flow measurement is a critical segment of measurement technology. For the time being, differential pressure flow meter is commonly applied to the measurement of the gas, liquid and steam in industrial manufacture. With the development of industry, flow measurement is required to be more and more qualified; and people concentrate all their attention on the parameters, such as discharge coefficient, pressure drop, straight run requirement, the turndown and so on.After many years of research and improvement, V-Cone, with lots of outstanding capabilities, made its entry into industrial application. However, insufficient research and limited experiment result in the instability of some parameters.Through contrasting experiment of several parameters, in the thesis the V-Cone is compared detailedly with the Orifice and the Spindle flow meter.Firstly, the possible influential factors of flow meter discharge coefficient are analyzed amply; and then some useful advice is given.Secondly, the character of pressure drop of the flow meters is compared qualitatively.Thirdly, with CFD technology, the result of experiment is proved commendably by the simulation.We expect this study will be beneficial to the development of V-Cone and the differential pressure flow meter.
