V-cone flowmeter, as an improved version of the differential pressure flowmeter,although makes the traditional differential pressure flowmeter to have a qualitative leap, itstill has many deficiencies in the structural design, such as large pressure loss, largedisturbance, the instability of the differential signal and so on. For the shortcomings of theV-Cone flowmeter, the V-cone flowmeter was optimized and improved. This paper proposed anew kind of V-cone flowmeter, which is the inside and outside tube differential pressureflowmeter.Under the condition of the medium of water, the paper used FLUENT numericalsimulations and experimental measurements to analyze and research the properties of theinside and outside tube differential pressure flowmeter. The main work of this thesis is asfollows:1) Paper analyzed the principle of the inside and outside tube differential pressureflowmeter and established flow-differential relationship model of diameter pipe. Theconclusion that three parameters of minor diameter, large diameter and divergence angle arethe main parameters of the inside and outside tube differential pressure flowmeter designoptimization was obtained by a theoretical approach. In addition, the paper analyzed theconditions of wall liquid separation and found divergence angle was around7o when the wallliquid was about to separate. At this point the pressure loss was minimum.2) The thesis used FLUENT to simulate respectively nine group model of the inside andoutside tube differential pressure flowmeter at different flow rates. Article also analyzed theflow field characteristics of reducer models, such as pressure, flow rate, pressure loss ratio. Inaddition, paper measured relative pressure of the front, back, inside and outside pressurepoints.Finally paper used orthogonal test to analyze nine groups model with the loss ofpressure ratio as an index and obtained the optimal model structure model among27groupsmodel.3) On the condition of the same effective flow area and speed, paper compared andanalyzed the pressure loss of the inside and outside tube differential pressure flowmeter and conventional V-cone flowmeter. The indicator of annual energy cost was used to compare theenergy savings.4) A prototype of the inside and outside tube differential pressure flowmeter wasproduced and the calibration experiments of the prototype flow coefficient were completed.The experiment platform also was established to measure the flow coefficient of the prototype.This article analyzed the relationship between flow and differential pressure and compared theflow coefficient and the correction value by experimental measurements and by simulationmeasurements and analyzed the causes of errors.
