In modern society, whether daily life or production, transportation, construction,scientific research all can not without weighing. Not only the industrial productionrequires high weighing precision, but also the material that need weighing becomesmore and more complex, traditional static weighing device can not competent to therequirements of automated production. Dynamic weighing is continuous weighingmaterial and do not stop transmitting, it does not need the intervention of external andartificial. Because the traditional dynamic weighing device requirements goodenvironment, and the environment of conveyor dynamic weighing often in vibration,high temperature, dust, wet, and electromagnetic interference, but electronic conveyorin this harsh environment will lead to weighing stability is not high, and service life isnot long. Therefore research a dynamic weighing device that suitable complexenvironment and have high weighing precision become more and more important.With the rapid development of fiber Bragg grating, the dynamic weighingresearch also gained a new way. Fiber Bragg grating have the outstanding advantagesof high sensitivity and reliability, long life, anti-electromagnetic interference and soon, and the transmit signal of FBG is optical signal, it no zero drift. In order to ensurethe accuracy of conveyor weighing in the petrochemical field, this paper decided toimprove the conveyor weighing sensor, using fiber Bragg grating sensor to replacethe original electronic sensor, developed a kind of conveyor fiber Bragg gratingdynamic weighing method that can accurately weighing in harsh conditions and ownindependent intellectual property rights.This paper first analyzes the principle and sensing properties of fiber Bragggrating, deduce the feasibility of fiber Bragg grating used in dynamic weighingsystem. Then design, production and calibration the key device of weighing, that isFBG strain sensor, and combine the FBG strain sensor and double parallel beamelastic element, made into double parallel beam fiber grating weighing sensor, anddo the static and dynamic load test for the FBG weighing sensor, finally installed theFBG weighing sensor in Sinopec Hubei company. Real coal check results show that the accuracy of FBG weighing sensor is0.3%, achieve the precision index of user.weighing result show that the precision and accuracy of optical fiber grating sensorare very good, can satisfy the requirement of Sinopec Hubei company. Under thepremise of people-oriented, pay more attention to the safety of production, this papermeets the needs of safety transportation and accurate measurement for bulk materialtransportation in our country, that contribute to development and intelligentmanagement for these important industries in flammable, explosive and strongelectromagnetic interference.
