Concrete filled steel tube lattice column structure can display therespecti ve advantages of the steel and concret e fully beca use it has a goodload-beari ng capaci ty and sei smic resistance, along with a good ec onomicefficiency. At prese nt, concrete filled steel tube lattice column structure hasbeen a ppl ied more and more in engineering. At home and abroad for theresearch field of concrete filled steel tube lattice column structure isrelatively single, and related research is basicall y focused on themechanical performance of the round steel tube concrete lattice column,with l ess studies on the mechanical perfor mance of the square and roundsteel t ube concrete lattice col umn by the quasi st atic test. This article basedon the quasi static test of the two different cross section of concrete filledsteel tube lattice column, and adopted the finite element analysis, get someconcl usion.(1) Based on t he existing theory, with the research of the square andround ste el tube concrete lattice column by the quasi static test, and the testresults of three speci mens ar e analyzed. Comparative study of the squareand r ound steel tube concret e lattice column has bee n done on t he failuremechanism, bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity andso on, so as to asse ss their st rong and wea k points.(2) On t he basis of experi mental study, based on the fi nite elementanalysi s soft war e of Sap2000to st ati c nonline ar anal ysi s of str uc ture ha sbeen carr ied out, and t he legiti macy is validated compared with theexperi me ntal result s.(3) The results wit h experi ment and numerical analysi s show t hat thesquare and round steel tube concret e column has the same failure pattern,plumper shutter shape hysteretic curve, and the two forms of concrete-filledsteel tube lattice column both has a high bearing ca pacity, wonder fulsuperiority on seismic performa nce, but round steel tube concrete latticecolumn than square steel tube concrete lattice column has better ductility per for ma nce, bett er energy dissipation, more sl owl y sti ffness degr adationand so on.All of this leads to the conclusion t ha t square and round steel tubeconcret e l attice col umn has good appli cation val ue, but t he advanta ge of t heround ste el tube concret e lattice c olumn i s more obvious in actualengineeri ng.
