The Appearance Design Research Of Ocean Engineering Vessel Based On New Edge Style Of Motion Image

This thesis analyze the ocean engineering vessel appearance characteristic recognitionand image representation through the form of cognitive theory, the ocean engineering vesselappearance design development trend and its theoretical review, the ocean engineeringvessel’s morphological characteristics through the process of characteristic recognition. Basedon the popular automobile appearance design concept, the New Edge Style of Motion Imageis brought up. The new style can be simply described as: let the direction morphologicalcharacteristic lines of the motion image blended in the New Edge Style. The morphologicalcharacteristics of the new style has the following features:(1) The sharp and obvious main characteristic lines have strong motive force, straightlines and curves are intersect with each other, curves are long span and tend to straight.(2) The transitional and additional characteristic lines follow the motive force expressionof main characteristic lines, the transitional characteristic lines are weakened.(3) The main characteristic plans are flat surface and vertical intersection. Throughmutual intersection and incline, sharp intersecting lines and angles are appeared betweenplanes.(4) The sharp transition between main planes are emphasized so that the transitionalcharacteristic planes are weakened and even disappeared, the additional characteristic planesfollow the motive force expression of main characteristic planes.(5) According to the rhythm of the motive force and the classification of functions,contrast colors are coated.This thesis induce and summarize the appearance design method of ocean engineeringvessel, design thinking and application. Through the new point of view to explored oceanengineering vessel appearance design, a new train of thought was opened up in its appearancedesign theory and style development.
