As important foundation and prerequisite of grid construction, grid planning hasa great effect on the safety and steady operation of the network. With the widelyapplication of comprehensive management systems (such as PMS, OMS, GIS,.etc),the power system is becoming more and more intelligent. On one side, grid planningis facing a changing network and operating data of multi-planning years; on the otherside, the planning work need to synthesize massive data from various informationsystems so as to get the wanted analysis result. Unlucky, there is not enoughapplication research achievement to support the data fusion in grid planning, resultingin the insufficient usage of massive data. For this reason, it is of practical significanceto study the data fusion methods in power grid planning.Considering the urgent demand of data synthesizing method in grid planning,this paper applies the classical data fusion theory in the power grid planning processbasing on the planning data module standard, manages to establish the basictheoretical frame of data fusion in grid planning.Firstly, the fundamental frame of data fusion in grid planning is build based onthe mapping theory. And the fusion performance of planning data is analyzed on thebasis of planning data module standard.Then, the model of two kind of data fusion in power grid planning:“fusion ofdata of the same object but from different source” and “fusion of data of different andrelated objects” is analyzed preliminary, and the procedure and method of differentfusion dimensions (planning profession, planning tense, et al) is explored further.At last, this paper takes the fusion of data of the same object (transformersubstation) from different information system as an example to illustrate the specificprocedure of data fusion in power grid planning.It is proved that this paper manages to take full advantage of data fusiontechnique in information synthesizing, redundant data disposing and the integration ofdisaccord information.
