As a new kind of concrete, rubber concrete has good ductility and crackresistance, outstanding energy consumption and good wear resistance. Meanwhile, therubber aggregate come from special processed discarded rubber products, andtherefore is a kind of green material. Compared with other types of beams steel-concrete composite beam which makes full use of compression performance ofconcrete and tensile properties of steel beam is very economical due to its reasonablestructure. The combination of the rubber concrete and the steel composite beam caneffectively prevent the cracking of the concrete slab of composite beams, enhance theshear performance of connectors, thus make the structure of the composite beam morereasonable and economical. Now, researches about the fatigue of composite beamsand shear connectors mainly focus on experiments. There are few theoretical analysisand numerical simulation about this issue. The steel-rubber concrete composite beam with four different kinds of amount ofrubber (0%,5%,10%,15%) was simulated with ABAQUS in this paper, in which theimprovement of mechanical properties of composite beam given by rubber concretewas mainly analyzed as well as the influence on fatigue of composite beam made bythe load limit, the ratio of reinforcement and the strength of steel.Analysis showed that, compared to ordinary concrete-steel composite beams, the ductility of rubber concrete composite beam, the crack resistance of rubberconcrete beam and shear performance of connectors were significantly improved. With the increase of rubber content, the energy dissipation of composite beamincreased and the ultimate bearing capacity slightly decreased. In addition, thestrength of steel has a greater influence on the fatigue behavior of composite beamand the load limit and ration of reinforcement have some influence on the fatiguelifetime of composite beam.
