Ancient timber construction as valuable cultural heritage should be cherished and protectedby people. Dougong has good seismic performance as an important part of ancient timberconstruction. Baosheng Temple King Hall in Luzhi town was built in Ming dynasty, which hasrare circular shape Ludou. While in order to King Hall’s maintenance, seismic mechanism andperformance of Luzhi temple Dougong will be studied.The shaking table test for Dougong achieved by controlling the vibration frequency andamplitude. Experiment results show that the rotary deformation of Dougong is much larger thanits horizontal slip deformation. China Fir Ludou rotary deformation accounted for all thedeformation72.4%, Huagong ratio is43.3%. Hard Pine Huagong rotary deformation accountedfor all the deformation99.3﹪,Ludou ratio is66.4﹪.It says that Ludou and Huagong are theweak links in Dougong group. Amplitude in the same conditions, the frequency increases by the1.1HZto3.1HZ, the maximum deformation roughly first decreases and then increases at theturning point between2.1HZ~2.6HZ. In the same vibration frequency, amplitude graduallyincreases from10mm to30mm, the maximum deformation values generally tended to increase.When vibration excitation is small dynamic amplification factor is great what indicates that atthis time the effect of Dougong to reduce vibration excitation is not obvious. With the vibrationexcitation becomes larger dynamic amplification factor showes a smaller trend and Dougongdamping energy dissipation effect manifested gradually. When faced with high-intensityexcitation, Hard Pine Dougong isolation capability becomes clear and has transcendtal trend forChina Fir Dougong.These studies will take important part in intending structure inspection, seismic appraiser;seismic strengthening of historic timber structure buildings,and will provide very usefulsuggestions to modem building construction.
