WenChuan Earthquake triggered large-scale and group-occurringsecondarymountain hazards. They not only severely destroyed the highways andblocked the traffic, but also caused severe geological disasters in mountain area,such as landslide and debris flow, so that blocked the process of earthquake reliefand reconstruction.The restoration and reconstruction of the roads were launched immediately bythe government and relative departments after Wenchuan earthquake.As being thelifeline of the city, Feasibility study is the main basis for establishing a project,decision-making, with which, we can predict technical and economic aspects inadvance and take preventive measures to minimize subjectivity and blindness in theoperation of the project. Highway projects, what are affected by time, space andenvironment, have a series of unique features, such as long cycle, large-scale, andhigh investment and so on. So, feasibility study on highway project plays animportant role of guiding and controling in construction.Guang-Qing highway is severely damaged in the WenChuan earthquake. Inthis paper, taken the Guang-Qing highway as an example, given on the environmenthypersensitive points, we introduced the related the whole process of reconstruction,and summarized the geological disaster management experience and technologycombined the geological conditions and local social development needs.Firstly, investigated and evaluated the road network status, and expounded thenecessity of project contruction. Secondly, forecasted and analyzed traffic volumeof project based on introducing principle and method of traffic volume forecast.Thirdly, we analyzed the construction conditions, proposed a series of programs.And selected the best solution through comparison, set out a oerview of the projectmeanwile. Finally, evaluated eeconomic, environment, energy Based on extensivesurveys, detection, evaluationand of the earthquake-stricken areas and reopened thehighway experience, the damaged conditions about subgrade, bridges,tunnels were described in detail,and the restoration and reconstruction of Guang- Qing highway were introduced concretely in this paper, as well as the overallprogram for the reconstruction of the project. Finally, we propsed some targetedstrategies and analysis about the Guang-Qing highway typical disasters sections,which can be referenced by relevant people or a similar reconstruction.
