Study On Fixture Design Verification And Optimization Technology

Fixture that used to workpiece locating and fixing during machining directly affectsthe machining accuracy, productivity and cost. With the development of machiningtechnology, the requirements of the fixture stability, clamping deformation and locatingprecision is high and high. In this trend, rapid fixture design and verification becoming animportant part of computer aided fixture design (CAFD) study.In this paper, based on aviation parts fixture design and verification, some researchwork carried out as follows:(1) A rapid fixture design method based on fixture design resources library wasproposed.3kinds of methods have been used during the fixture rapid design process. Theywere case-based reasoning technology, modular design technology and the technology ofrapid building fixture component instance.(2) Workpiece locating error verification based on Monte Carlo method was proposed.The causes of locating error were analyzed, the error propagation model have beenconducted. The statistical analysis method of workpiece locating error was given andachieved the statistical error verification.(3) The method of controlling the thin-walled aviation parts deformation caused byclamping and machining were proposed. The contact model of workpiece-fixture element,the contact model of milling tool-workpiece were constructed. Based on the finite elementsimulation, several methods of improving machining accuracy were given.(4) By analyzing the factors that influence the stability of fixture, fixture stabilityempirical evaluation model was proposed to assess the stability of the fixture, on whichfixture layout stability comprehensive evaluation index was given.(5) According to the above research in this paper, the fixture design verification andoptimization software was developed by CAA and NXOpen that are used for CAD softwareCATIA and UG NX...
