The motor and transmission of off-road vehicles are designed as a unit for easy fieldoperation. The method of unite suspension design is provided which the motor, transmission other auxiliary parts are considered as rigid bodies fixed together. How todesign mounting system to isolate vibration transmitted from powertrain and roads hasbecome an important task of off-road vehicle research. This paper studies the powertrain mounting system vibration isolation for a domesticoff-road vehicle. The primary work includes the following aspects.1) According to the relavent data, a six degree of freedom model of the powertrainmounting system is built in ADAMS/View, model natural frequency and model couplingand the vibration response in three working conditions are calculated.2) The rationality of mounts’ position is verified using of the impact center theory andthe method of TRA axis. The model stiffness is optimized taking advantage of modelenergy decoupling as objective function, the contrasting results before and afteroptimization showed that ontimization is successful, model decoupling has become better, natural frequency has been more retional.
